Hello! Today, my topic is "protecting the environment and everyone isresponsible".

Throughout the ages, earths mother has nurtured countless generations ofchildren with sweet milk. She was beautifully decorated by her children. Now,however, the human race tormented her for its own sake. Man has only one earth; And the earth is facing a severe environmental crisis. "Save the earth" hasbecome the most powerful voice of people all over the world.

Students, we are the small masters of the earth, environmental awareness isthe important symbol of modern people. We should establish a sense ofresponsibility in The Times. Focus on the world and focus on the campus. To pickup the scraps of paper with a bent waist; Dont throw about; Take a few moresteps, dont pass through the green belt, trampling green space. "It is incumbenton all of us to save resources and protect the environment. We need to startfrom now, start from our side, start small. Through our efforts, the sky of themotherland is bluer, the land is greener, the water is clearer. Whether it isthe past, present, or future, whether it is family, country, or the world, theenvironment is always our friend, to be kind to our friends, to be kind toourselves.

"There is only one earth", let us protect our homeland together.

Four years passed away, when they graduate, should be for the life of four years in the Ivory Tower to learn to do an interview self-introduction.

If you would like to say that four years in learning what the greatest regret is that English, formerly in high school I've had a nice English, but into the university, I slack on the English language, and not spend too much time to learn , resulting in the test to graduate have not been 6.

Good morning,

my name is ,22 years old, born in province. It is really a great honor to have this opportunity for an interview, I would like to answer whatever you may raise, and I hope I can make a good performance today! Now I will introduce myself briefly by three aspects: Strength; Weakness and Achievements!

Strength:

I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done. I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out just as I’d planned. I’ve set some high goals for myself. For example, I want to graduate with highest scores. And at last, I become one of the outstanding graduates in Chong Qing University after a lot of study. Besides, I am good at building mathematical models and analyzing questions with economic methods.

Weakness:

I'm such a perfectionist that I will not stop until a job is well done.

Achievements: I had acquired the first prize by designing models on Mathematical modeling in 20xx; besides, I had help my teachers to analyze the Warrant pricing by varieties methods.

I’m convinced that I can go farther and make greater contribution for my country by careful process of learning, please give me this chance to study in this great university---LiGong University! I promise, I will use my whole ability to improve myself and get the primary accomplishment in my major and do a useful man for our school!

Personally, for today's China, the foundation of the development of Economic is the advancement of transportation equipment. That’s to say, we should do our best to make contribution to improve our transportation equipment to ensure the development of Economic.

Only when our transportation equipment is great enough, our economic can get big achievement.

January first. The beginning of a new year. As far back in history as wecan tell, people have celebrated the start of a new year.

The people of ancient Egypt began their new year in summer. That is whenthe Nile River flooded its banks, bringing water and fertility to the land. Thepeople of ancient Babylonia and Persia began their new year on Marchtwenty-first, the first day of spring. And, some Native American Indians begantheir new year when the nuts of the oak tree became ripe. That was usually inlate summer.

Now, almost everyone celebrates New Years Day on January first. Today, asbefore, people observe the New Years holiday in many different ways.

The ancient Babylonians celebrated by forcing their king to give up hiscrown and royal clothing. They made him get down on his knees and admit all themistakes he had made during the past year.

This idea of admitting wrongs and finishing the business of the old year isfound in many societies at new years. So is the idea of making resolutions. Aresolution is a promise to change your ways. To stop smoking, for example. Or toget more physical exercise.

Noise-making is another ancient custom at the new year. The noise isconsidered necessary to chase away the evil spirits of the old year. Peoplearound the world do different things to make a lot of noise. They may hit stickstogether. Or beat on drums. Or blow horns. Or explode fireworks.

Americans celebrate the New Year in many ways.

Most do not have to go to work or school. So they visit family and nd church services. Share a holiday meal. Or watch new years parades ontelevision. Two of the most famous parades are the Mummers Parade inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Bothhave existed for many years.

Americans also watch football on television on New Years Day. Most years, university teams play in special holiday games.

For those who have been busy at work or school, New Years may be a day ofrest. They spend the time thinking about, and preparing for, the demands of thenew year.

Honorable Judges, fellow students:

Good afternoon!

Recently, there is a heated debate in our society. The college students arethe beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education atextraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and supportourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Willwe be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, whichwould cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The collegestudents I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We helpeach other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take parttime jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect theneed for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeplyfor each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth.

it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—change the world, change ourselves.

it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.

frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with ed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples) why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.

there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend, chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.

with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no. what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us.

at last i’d like to share a famouse saying of gandhi with all of you ,that is:if you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.”

Have you ever heard about Warren Buffet, the second richest person in the world? Well, today I am not going to talk about him but his three kids.

For someone whose parent is such an extraordinarily successful investor, the three kids come out pretty ordinary guys. When they were young, they each received $ 10,000 a year. If they wanted to borrow more money form their father, they have to sign a written agreement. When growing up, however, they all found their lovely jobs-housewife, farmer, musician, instead of relying on their well off father.

It seems that they are unlucky to have a father who criticizes the self-indulgence of super-rich. But is it really true? No, absolutely not! In fact, they are grateful to him because they found their own passion which suits their true talent, and they are able to make money on their own.

So what could we learn from them? Three words: independence, responsibility, passion. Indeed we are fortunate to be protected by the whole family, but this cannot be the reason for us to become boomerang children.

Although we, the generation of 90s have been questioned from the day we were born: selfness and weakness, indifference and rebellion, sensitivity and pride, we are still pressing on with our creed: Yes we can. At a time when the earthquake happened in We chuan, we were praised by the whole public because of the bravery and determination we show during the process of rescuing. Yes we can. When the World Expo was held in Shanghai, the smile on volunteers’ faces impressed millions of people all around the world. Yes we can. When the two kids fell into the river, fifteen freshmen of Chang Jiang University saved them from drowning regardless of the truth that they cannot swim. Yes we can. We were there for the return of Hong Kong and Macao, the Olympic Game in Beijing, the 60th anniversary of founding of New China, and Premier Wen Jiabao who told the survivors in earthquake that “We shall overcome.” Yes we can.

As the only child in the family, however, some of us just like flowers growing in the greenhouse that take for granted, and parents will give them whatever they want, from toys to books, from watches to cell phones, from houses to cars. But apart from this, we have to be independent. Everyone is an individual. You are not your parents’ sequel. You are not your kids’ prequel. You have your own talents and you have to rely on yourselves.

Take responsibility. No one can support you in your whole life. No one

Good morning ! Students, teachers. I’m very glad to stand here and give youa short speech. today my topic is “I love English”. I hope you will like it.

As everyone knows,English is very important today. It has been usedeverywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet andfor international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chanceto succeed. Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number ofthe people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.

But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and itsusefulness, but also because of my love for it. When I learn English, I can feela different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When Iread English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is differentfrom reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confidentfrom my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the sameas our Chinese...

I love English,it gives me a colorful dream. I hope I can travel around theworld one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people fromdifferent countries. I can see many places of great intrests. I dream that I cango to London, because it is the birth place of English.

I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to theEnglish spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us. I know,Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one dayI can speak English very well.

If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So Ibelieve as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!

Thank you!

Good afternoon, ladies and Gentlemen. Today I’d like to begin with a all know that Chinese, as a nation has a long history about 5000 years, andwe feel very proud of our brilliant and splendid culture. Owing to that, myfather always told me: “you would suffer loss if you don’t follow old people’swords.” Besides I was taught everyday to learn Peking Opera. If some boy who isabout 16 years old sings Peking Opera in the classroom now, I’m afraid he willbe laughed at. JAY’s “Qian Li Zhi Wai ”seems more popular to you.

So we may wonder does our tradition get out of the modern lifeAbsolutelynot. What we need is just a peace of innovation. Here is a question:What isinnovationInnovation was an ancient dream flying into the outer space;innovation today, is the amazing convenience and intelligence that a singlemobile phone in your pocket could bring to you.

There is no more then a battle between tradition and innovation, which isthe rain and water relationship, not only tradition like fish without water, again good innovation will also become the castles in the air, there wont belasting vitality. Only both of them are perfectly together will bear fruits ofsuccess as well.

With the economic globalization becoming increasingly intensive, innovationhas become one of central topics around the world. Many countries see it as thekey to develop their economy. Our government, with no exception, regard it as "the soul of our nation." Based on advanced function system and excellentmanagement, factories are booming and enhance overall national economy. Highlydevelopment of electronic commerce is also a significant factor for improvingour living standards. The enlargement of our authority to the recruit ofgraduate and improvement of the conditions of scientists and skilled workers......

From all above, innovation has already became a kind of habit. There is nodoubt we would surprise the world by creating more and more amazing innovationstaking advantages of not only our intelligence but innovation. I’m sureinnovation has became one of the symbols in Chinese tradition and will be markof our bright future!

Thanks for your attention. Thank you very much.

Good morning dear young fellows from suntrans,

Today is my two months and two days celebration of working in suntrans. This is my first job, and I am very glad tohave it, and to stand here sharing my feelings with all of you.

Today my topic is a little bit long, it is,the happy days of my dear little young fellows and me spent together in our companySuntrans. We had numerous happy days together, and every day is memorable. Itis so long that if I share every moment with you, this meeting may last three days or even longer. So in order to give us time to work, to eat, to go homeand to sleep, I will only share three most memorable moments we had together.

The first memorable moment for me was thecompany activity held in May by our human resources Department. We played games together and had a great time. That day was my 25th birthday, but that is not the most important reason whyI remember it so well. Firstly, I learned our company’s history, and felt thatit is very difficult to start a business, and thought that everyone in ourcompany is very hard working. Secondly, I joined Maple’s team that day, although we almost lost all of the competitions, everyone was so happy andfriendly and my team made me understood the meaning of the phrase– “team spirit”。I began to understand and like our company after that day’s activity.

The second memorable moment for me was the birthday party held in May. I never had such a birthday party before, what’s more, my birthday is the same month as our General Manager Lu, and I felt very honored and grateful. I received a lot of warm celebration words from all of you and a lovely birthday card. I was so moved that day and had the feeling that I am a part of this big family. When I blew off the candles, I made three wishes, firstly, make progress in English, secondly, make progress in Japanese,Thirdly, do my best to become a good translator in Suntrans. I hope my wisheswill come true in the future.

The third memorable moment for me was The Second Experience Exchanging Forum of Mining Investment 20xx. This is the first time I took part in such a big conference, and I was very excited and willing to do something for it. We did work very hard for this conference, and even asked the Dragon Boat Festival to contribute. This conference gave me a great workexperience and taught me many things: for example how to do advertising and marketing, and a great knowledge in mining industry. The most important is, our young fellows’team work is very brilliant, and I love our company more thanever after this conference.

These are the three most memorable moments for me that I spent with all of you in Suntrans, I hope that we can create moreand more in the future.

Thank you all, best wishes with love.

Hello everyone,it's really my honor to be y, shall we talk about courage.

Courage is not only found in the heat of war or the mighty works of brave men and women. Courage is the mother taking care of her sick child in the early morning hours. Courage is the father who shows up on time everyday at a boring, low-paying, dead-end job to feed and clothe his family.

Courage comes in many forms, not only from thoughts and deeds of greatness, but in the routine, everyday art of living.

When life gets you down, when it seems that your world is at an end, take courage and go the next step. You will be amazed at the power and strength you have inside.

Just gather up enough courage to take you through this day. You only have to live one day at a time. You do not have to deal with all your troubles at one time. Like the Scotsman said, "The troubles of tomorrow must wait until this day is done."

Yes, courage comes from deep within the heart and flushes away the paralysis created by fear. A song, a story, a poem or a friend could re-ignite the spark of courage and inspire us to take the next step to success.

That’s all,thank you!

as we know, you have to learn how to fly much more independently instead of under your parents’ considerate protection when you get into college, which also means you will come across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself. from my point of view, those main problems can fall into three parts.

first of all, the complicated relationship. for one thing, you have to know how cultural differences function in your relationship and respect them. in addition, college students spend less time studying together owing to different courses’ choosing, which requires us to devote more energy to building relationship. for the other thing, it is also vital to communicate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools.

secondly, the temptations. the college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the internet, alcohols and so on. what’s more, the college teachers won’t compel you to study like before, you doze off or play cell phone in class, and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late. such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life, so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals.

thirdly, the balance between study and work. most of us will choose to take a part time job to earn the extra money or just to exercise ourselves. but it is significant to keep a relatively balanced relationship between them since i always regard the study as our main task, so my principle is adjusting work to follow the schedule of study.

in conclusion, whatever issues we meet or miseries we suffer from, confront the hash reality head on, what we can do is remembering the past, living in the present and looking forward to the future.

What fear can teach us

One day in 1819, 3,000 miles off the coast of Chile, in one of the most remote regions of the Pacific Ocean, 20 American sailors watched their ship flood with seawater.

They'd been struck by a sperm whale, which had ripped a catastrophic hole in the ship's hull. As their ship began to sink beneath the swells, the men huddled together in three small whaleboats.

These men were 10,000 miles from home, more than 1,000 miles from the nearest scrap of land. In their small boats, they carried only rudimentary navigational equipment and limited supplies of food and water.

These were the men of the whaleship Essex, whose story would later inspire parts of "Moby Dick."

Even in today's world, their situation would be really dire, but think about how much worse it would have been then.

No one on land had any idea that anything had gone wrong. No search party was coming to look for these men. So most of us have never experienced a situation as frightening as the one in which these sailors found themselves, but we all know what it's like to be afraid.

We know how fear feels, but I'm not sure we spend enough time thinking about what our fears mean.

As we grow up, we're often encouraged to think of fear as a weakness, just another childish thing to discard like baby teeth or roller skates.

And I think it's no accident that we think this way. Neuroscientists have actually shown that human beings are hard-wired to be optimists.

So maybe that's why we think of fear, sometimes, as a danger in and of itself. "Don't worry," we like to say to one another. "Don't panic." In English, fear is something we conquer. It's something we fight.

It's something we overcome. But what if we looked at fear in a fresh way? What if we thought of fear as an amazing act of the imagination, something that can be as profound and insightful as storytelling itself?

It's easiest to see this link between fear and the imagination in young children, whose fears are often extraordinarily vivid.

When I was a child, I lived in California, which is, you know, mostly a very nice place to live, but for me as a child, California could also be a little scary.

I remember how frightening it was to see the chandelier that hung above our dining table swing back and forth during every minor earthquake, and I sometimes couldn't sleep at night, terrified that the Big One might strike while we were sleeping.

And what we say about kids who have fears like that is that they have a vivid imagination. But at a certain point, most of us learn to leave these kinds of visions behind and grow up.

We learn that there are no monsters hiding under the bed, and not every earthquake brings buildings down. But maybe it's no coincidence that some of our most creative minds fail to leave these kinds of fears behind as adults.

The same incredible imaginations that produced "The Origin of Species," "Jane Eyre" and "The Remembrance of Things Past," also generated intense worries that haunted the adult lives of Charles Darwin, Charlotte BrontĂŤ and Marcel Proust. So the question is, what can the rest of us learn about fear from visionaries and young children?

Well let's return to the year 1819 for a moment, to the situation facing the crew of the whaleship Essex. Let's take a look at the fears that their imaginations were generating as they drifted in the middle of the Pacific.

Twenty-four hours had now passed since the capsizing of the ship. The time had come for the men to make a plan, but they had very few options.

In his fascinating account of the disaster, Nathaniel Philbrick wrote that these men were just about as far from land as it was possible to be anywhere on Earth.

The men knew that the nearest islands they could reach were the Marquesas Islands, 1,200 miles away. But they'd heard some frightening rumors.

They'd been told that these islands, and several others nearby, were populated by cannibals. So the men pictured coming ashore only to be murdered and eaten for dinner. Another possible destination was Hawaii, but given the season, the captain was afraid they'd be struck by severe storms.

Now the last option was the longest, and the most difficult: to sail 1,500 miles due south in hopes of reaching a certain band of winds that could eventually push them toward the coast of South America.

But they knew that the sheer length of this journey would stretch their supplies of food and water. To be eaten by cannibals, to be battered by storms, to starve to death before reaching land.

These were the fears that danced in the imaginations of these poor men, and as it turned out, the fear they chose to listen to would govern whether they lived or died.

Now we might just as easily call these fears by a different name. What if instead of calling them fears, we called them stories?

Because that's really what fear is, if you think about it. It's a kind of unintentional storytelling that we are all born knowing how to do. And fears and storytelling have the same components.

They have the same architecture. Like all stories, fears have characters. In our fears, the characters are us. Fears also have plots. They have beginnings and middles and ends. You board the plane.

The plane takes off. The engine fails. Our fears also tend to contain imagery that can be every bit as vivid as what you might find in the pages of a novel. Picture a cannibal, human teeth sinking into human skin, human flesh roasting over a fire.

Fears also have suspense. If I've done my job as a storyteller today, you should be wondering what happened to the men of the whaleship Essex. Our fears provoke in us a very similar form of suspense.

Just like all great stories, our fears focus our attention on a question that is as important in life as it is in literature: What will happen next?

In other words, our fears make us think about the future. And humans, by the way, are the only creatures capable of thinking about the future in this way, of projecting ourselves forward in time, and this mental time travel is just one more thing that fears have in common with storytelling.

As a writer, I can tell you that a big part of writing fiction is learning to predict how one event in a story will affect all the other events, and fear works in that same way.

In fear, just like in fiction, one thing always leads to another. When I was writing my first novel, "The Age Of Miracles," I spent months trying to figure out what would happen if the rotation of the Earth suddenly began to slow down. What would happen to our days?

What would happen to our crops? What would happen to our minds? And then it was only later that I realized how very similar these questions were to the ones I used to ask myself as a child frightened in the night.

If an earthquake strikes tonight, I used to worry, what will happen to our house? What will happen to my family? And the answer to those questions always took the form of a story.

So if we think of our fears as more than just fears but as stories, we should think of ourselves as the authors of those stories. But just as importantly, we need to think of ourselves as the readers of our fears, and how we choose to read our fears can have a profound effect on our lives.

Now, some of us naturally read our fears more closely than others. I read about a study recently of successful entrepreneurs, and the author found that these people shared a habit that he called "productive paranoia," which meant that these people, instead of dismissing their fears, these people read them closely, they studied them, and then they translated that fear into preparation and action.

So that way, if their worst fears came true, their businesses were ready.

And sometimes, of course, our worst fears do come true. That's one of the things that is so extraordinary about fear. Once in a while, our fears can predict the future.

But we can't possibly prepare for all of the fears that our imaginations concoct. So how can we tell the difference between the fears worth listening to and all the others? I think the end of the story of the whaleship Essex offers an illuminating, if tragic, example.

After much deliberation, the men finally made a decision. Terrified of cannibals, they decided to forgo the closest islands and instead embarked on the longer and much more difficult route to South America.

After more than two months at sea, the men ran out of food as they knew they might, and they were still quite far from land. When the last of the survivors were finally picked up by two passing ships, less than half of the men were left alive, and some of them had resorted to their own form of cannibalism.

Herman Melville, who used this story as research for "Moby Dick," wrote years later, and from dry land, quote, "All the sufferings of these miserable men of the Essex might in all human probability have been avoided had they, immediately after leaving the wreck, steered straight for Tahiti.

But," as Melville put it, "they dreaded cannibals." So the question is, why did these men dread cannibals so much more than the extreme likelihood of starvation?

“但是”,梅尔维尔说道:“他们害怕食人族” 问题是,为什么这些人对于食人族的恐惧 超过了更有可能的饥饿威胁呢?

Why were they swayed by one story so much more than the other? Looked at from this angle, theirs becomes a story about reading. The novelist Vladimir Nabokov said that the best reader has a combination of two very different temperaments, the artistic and the scientific.

A good reader has an artist's passion, a willingness to get caught up in the story, but just as importantly, the readers also needs the coolness of judgment of a scientist, which acts to temper and complicate the reader's intuitive reactions to the story. As we've seen, the men of the Essex had no trouble with the artistic part.

They dreamed up a variety of horrifying scenarios. The problem was that they listened to the wrong story. Of all the narratives their fears wrote, they responded only to the most lurid, the most vivid, the one that was easiest for their imaginations to picture: cannibals.

But perhaps if they'd been able to read their fears more like a scientist, with more coolness of judgment, they would have listened instead to the less violent but the more likely tale, the story of starvation, and headed for Tahiti, just as Melville's sad commentary suggests.

And maybe if we all tried to read our fears, we too would be less often swayed by the most salacious among them.

Maybe then we'd spend less time worrying about serial killers and plane crashes, and more time concerned with the subtler and slower disasters we face: the silent buildup of plaque in our arteries, the gradual changes in our climate.

Just as the most nuanced stories in literature are often the richest, so too might our subtlest fears be the truest. Read in the right way, our fears are an amazing gift of the imagination, a kind of everyday clairvoyance, a way of glimpsing what might be the future when there's still time to influence how that future will play out.

Properly read, our fears can offer us something as precious as our favorite works of literature: a little wisdom, a bit of insight and a version of that most elusive thing -- the truth. Thank you.

everyone has his ownunderstanding of young,it is a period of time of beauty and wonders, only after you have

experienced the sour ,sweet ,bitter and salty can you really become a person of time of young is limitted,it may pass by without your attention, and when you discover what has happened ,it is always too ping the young well means a better time is waiting for you in the near future,or the situation may be opposite .

Everyone has his dreams, but not all these dreams can come true. Peoplegive up their dreams for this or that reason. Those whose dreams become truehave at least one thing in common, that is, they always hold fast to theirdreams.

Marie Curie, a famous scientist, has set a good example. In 1898, Mariefound a new element in the pitchblende. In order to prove her discovery, shemust get it and show it to the world. Then to get the new element became herdream and goal of her life. After four years'' hard work and refinement of tonsof pitchblende, Marie and her hus-band at last saw the dim blue light of the newelement radium. Her dream had come true. There are many other examples. Justaround us, for instance, the athletes who gain the gold medals, the artists whoare popular with the public, and even the students who enter tile universityafter years of hard study and preparation, are all dream-holders.

Hold fast to your dreams, no matter how big or small they are. The path todreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed, but hold onto the end, you ,sill find there is no greater happiness than making your dreamcome true.

april 1 every year is april fool's day. it is the happiest day for the people in western countries. on april 1, you can tell a lie, make a joke to others, or cheat them, but they will not be angry with you.

if it were april 1 today, you could tell your good friends, "i hear there is an important exam tomorrow. don't tell others about it". and the people who believe you are called april fools.

this custom started in france during the 16th century. it spread to england in the 18th century, and then to the united states.
